In-home Respite
These clients require 24 hour supervision and care assistance to remain in a private home care setting. Our in-home respite services allow the primary caregiver to leave the home without worrying about the safety and comfort needs of our client, or allow the primary caregiver to catch up on much needed rest or work around the home.
There are two levels of care:
- Attendant Care (Client is not bed-bound)
- Companionship
- Assistance with toileting
- Assistance with eating
- Assistance with ambulation
- Basic Care (Client may or may not be bed-bound)
- Assistance with activities of daily living
- toileting, bathing, grooming, dressing, eating and ambulation
- Assistance with routine exercise regimen
- Assistance with self-medication
Personal Emergency Response and Medication Management Systems
- Installed and Supported by VRI Lifeline of Michigan on receipt of a referral from Wil-Care Nursing
- Provide safety, assurance and compliance in the absence of a Caregiver
- Able to alert others when medications are not taken as prescribed
- Reduce the need for continuous 24-hour care
Other similar special service and equipment available includes:
Fall Alert, Boundary Unit, Special Activation Devices for the Personal Emergency Response System for the physically challenged, Telehomecare (vital sign and health condition monitoring for families or caregivers) and Phone Strobe (phone ringing alert for hearing impaired).
Hospital Sitters
- Provide observation of the hospitalized, at-risk patient
- Report and assist in providing safety and comfort
Staff Relief
- Relief Aides for Adult Foster Care Homes and Assisted Living Centers
- Competency Evaluated Nurse Aides for Nursing Homes located as needed
- Licensed Nurses located as needed
Live-in Workers
- Located on an as-needed basis
- Screening per client/client family request
Wil-Care provides free information and referral for home care assistance programs and will help you locate services not presently available through our office.
